WHAT IS VINYL WINGS?
Vinyl Wings is a monthly vinyl subscription club based in the UK. We bring premium curated records to help our members discover new albums, artists and genres
DO I GET A CHOICE IN WHAT YOU SEND ME?
Yes! We’re one of the only vinyl subscription services which not only give members a choice of which genre they would like to focus on, but we also give a choice within each genre of 3 records, from which members select the 2 like would best like to receive.
HOW DOES A VINYL WINGS MEMBERSHIP WORK?
Every month on the 1st, we announce our 3 records of the month. Members then have until the 7th to lock in their selection, after which we deliver their selection at end of the month! If you subscribe after the 7th, your first box will be in the following month!
CAN I BUY A VINYL WINGS SUBSCRIPTION AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE?
Absolutely! We highly encourage vinyl as a terrific gift for a friend or loved one! Head on over to our Gift Page and we’ll get you sorted.
CAN I SUBSCRIBE TO MORE THAN ONE GENRE?
Certainly – we currently have the Jazz/Soul and Rock/Blues genres available for members and clients can certainly sign up to multiple genres.
I SIGNED UP XX WEEKS AGO, WHERE ARE MY RECORDS?
If you signed up before the 7th of each month, you will fall into the same month’s batch of deliveries! We aim to send out records on or around the 22nd of each month and will inform our members when their package is on the way! If you signed up after the 7th, don’t worry, you will automatically be placed into the following month’s batch!
DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE UK?
We offer shipping within the UK and most of Europe. Unfortunately, we do not currently ship to the United States, or the Rest of the World.
HOW DO I UPDATE MY SHIPPING ADDRESS / BILLING DETAILS?
All of your personal information can be updated in the My Account Section. If you are still having trouble you can always send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I WAS SENT THE WRONG RECORD, IS THERE A WAY I CAN RETURN THIS?
Although this would rarely happen, we’re only human after all and so mistakes can sometimes occur! No need to panic – just send us an e-mail on email@example.com explaining which record is the incorrect one and which one you originally had selected, and we will make it right. As far the incorrect record goes, don’t worry about it – that one is on us. After all, the customer always comes first here at Vinyl Wings.
HOW DO I SKIP OR CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?
Although you cannot skip a month in your subscription model, you can cancel your subscription at any time through the My Account section. Bear in mind that if you have bought a multi-month subscription, cancellation will only be applied once the remaining time on the subscription has run out.
WHAT’S IN A MONTHLY BOX?
A monthly box contains 2 records which our members picked out of a choice of 3, along with a note from us describing the significance of each album and artists and why we feel they belong in your collection!
WHAT QUALITY OF RECORDS ARE IN THE BOX?
We want to bring our members the best possible musical experience in a box! As such, we only deal with high-quality manufacturers and labels such as Music on Vinyl, Blue Note, Rhino etc.
HOW DO I PICK MY RECORDS?
You can pick the two records you wish you receive in the month by signing into the My Account section using your log-in details that you signed up with. We announce our records on the 1st of each month, and you have until the 7th to make your selection! In case you haven’t made your selection by the 7th , we’ll happily pick two of them for you!
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE WHAT YOU SEND TO ME?
We strive to bring great music every month and also offer our members a choice of 2 out of 3 records. Unfortunately, we don’t offer returns on what has been sent to members, but we like to think part of the joy of Vinyl Wings is discovering new artists and albums!
CAN I CHOOSE RECORDS FROM DIFFERENT GENRES?
Unfortunately, we currently do not offer users the option to select records from a genre they are not signed up to. We hope to be able to bring this feature in the future.
WHEN DO MY RECORDS SHIP?
Packages are shipped around the 22nd of each month. Orders placed by the 7th of each month will ship in the same month, while orders placed after the 7th of the month will fall into next month's batch and ship the following month!
HOW DO YOU SEND YOUR RECORDS?
Within the UK, our monthly boxes are shipped via courier service provided by Hermes UK – all orders are tracked and members receive a tracking number monthly. For international shipments, our packages are sent with UK Royal Mail 2nd Class mail. A tracked shipping option is available at extra cost for members as well!
FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, HOW ARE CUSTOMS HANDLED?
We provide all of the necessary documentation for our international shipments to clear customs. However, any additional customs charges or taxes which may be incurred in the recipient’s country are the responsibility of the customer.
WHAT DO I DO IF THE RECORDS ARRIVE DAMAGED?
While we strive to offer our customers a seamless experience, unfortunately some things may be outside of our control. In cases where the damage is affecting the playback and sound quality of records (such as scratches, scuffs, excessive noise or pops when playing the records, significant warpage or locked grooves) please do get in touch with us and we will have a replacement issued to you. Unfortunately, we cannot replace records which have been affected by cosmetic damage such as - seam splits, dinged or bent corners or miscellaneous other imperfections. Please refer to our Delivery and Refunds for additional detail.
I MEANT TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION BUT I WAS TOO LATE TO CANCEL AND STILL RECEIVED A RECORD. CAN THIS BE RETURNED FOR A FULL REFUND?
Unfortunately, once orders are processed (around the first week of the month), we are unable to issue refunds. We are more than happy to help you cancel your account going forward however – please e-mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org
